Year and Program: 3rd Year, Biomedical Science
Role: My role as President is to act as the main liaison between the students and the Faculty of Science, as well as between Sciences and other federated bodies of the SFUO. I oversee projects that the executives initiate, serve as the chairperson at SSA meetings, and ensure the smooth functioning of council members.
Fun Fact: My first and last name rhyme.
Name: Ibraheem El-Baghdadi
Year and Program: 5th Year, Biomedical Science
Role: I manage the monies coming in and out of the SSA with the best interest of science students in mind.
Fun Fact: My favorite colour is purple.
Name: Nina Hadžimustafić
Year and Program: 4th Year, Biochemistry with Minor in Mathematics
Role: The overall goal of my position is to plan events for Science students throughout the year! The major events that I am responsible for are 101 week, Science Formal, and Gradball.
Fun Fact: I spend my spare time (and time I should probably be studying) composing music on piano!
Name: Marwa Ibrahim
Role: I am responsible for the maintenance of the website, the management of SSA spaces, and ensure the smooth functioning of its systems. I also oversee the creation and execution of all SSA services, and serve as the chair of the Services committee.
Fun Fact: I can sleep 13+ hours consecutively.
Name: Lauren Massey
Year and Program: 3rd Year, Biochemistry with Minor in History
Role: I work with other faculties and universities across Ontario to facilitate a good relationship between them and the SSA, as well as with all SSA registered clubs. I also serve as the main liaison between the SSA and the Board of Administrators (BOA) of the SFUO.
Fun Fact: I was a gymnast for 11 years.
Name: Jane Arciszewski
Year and Program: 3rd Year, Biochemistry
Role: As VP Academic, my role is to organize academic related events such as the Wine and Cheese, award the SSA scholarships, sit on the Academic Fraud committee, and do my best to help with any academic issues that students might face.
Fun Fact: I can do a back flip.
Name: Jesse Lesniowski
Year and Program: 5th Year, Environmental Science (Ecotoxicology Option)
Role: I'm in charge of all the philanthropic initiatives throughout the year. In the summer, I focus on our Shinerama campaign, culminating with Shine Day during 101 week. If you have any ideas or suggestions that you'd like to see in 2018-2019, send me an email, I'd love to talk with you!
Fun Fact: I currently own 74 plants (and counting...)
Name: Kimmy Yang
Year and Program: 4th Year, Biomedical Science
Role: I create all logos, designs, posters, and promotional materials for the SSA and work hand in hand with the Social Media Manager to maintain the SSA's social media outlets. I'm also in charge of chairing the Promotions committee in order to improve the SSA aesthetic.
Fun Fact: I can tie a cherry stem knot with my tongue in less than 10 seconds.
Name: Lauren Desilets
Year and Program: 2nd Year, Biomedical Science
Role: I translate many things from English to French for the SSA such as website information, emails, Facebook posts and meeting minutes. I am also in charge of reinforcing bilingualism throughout the SSA which includes making the SSA a more welcoming environment for French students.
Fun Fact: I’ve lived in Thunder Bay and Saskatoon!
Name: Morgan Lynds
Year and Program: 3rd Year, Biotechnology
Role: I oversee the acquisition, organization and transportation of all equipment and materials necessary for SSA functions. I am responsible for the association's distribution of merchandise, venue and room bookings, food and clothing orders, and coordinates with the association council to ensure the success of all SSA events.
Fun Fact: I used to play the drums in a band.
Name: Laura Mardiros
Role: I oversee the distribution, maintenance, and organization of all equipment and materials necessary for SSA functions. I am also responsible for the association's venue bookings and ensuring the success of 101 week.
Fun Fact: I speak 3 languages: French, English and Armenian.
Name: Alex Harrison
Year and Program: 4th Year, Environmental Science
Role: I sit on the University Senate which is tasked with debating academic issues and ensuring proper management of educational policies.
Fun Fact: My favourite time of the day is dusk.
Name: Viktorija Burčul
Role: I'm responsible for the administration and training of all SSA volunteers for 101 week activities and coordinating the volunteers during 101 week.
Fun Fact: I share my birthday with two of my younger cousins (and they aren't twins!)

Role: As last years president, I provide guidance to the Association Council and ensure that the integrity of the council is maintained from last year to this year.
Fun Fact: I have a 6 foot wingspan.
Name: Dasa Riadi Kamarwan
Year and Program: 4th Year, Mathematics and Economics
Role: I will be working jointly with the VP Philanthropic throughout the summer and 101 week to host, manage, and deliver fundraiser initiatives in support of Shinerama and Cystic Fibrosis Canada.
Fun Fact: I can bend my thumb so far back it reaches the back of my palm (ew I know).
Name: Logan Barr
Role: I assist the Vice-President Finance in administrative tasks related to the finances of the SSA.
Fun Fact: I'm the only person that didn't respond to the Webmaster's email about giving a fun fact!
Name: Sophie Gregoire-Mitha
Role: I update the constitution regularly as new motions are passed, assist in the upkeep of the office/online calendars, taking meeting minutes, and perform various other administrative tasks.
Fun Fact: I'm from the city of North Vancouver (not the same as Vancouver).
Name: Doan-Nghi Dam-Le
Role: I spearhead any social media campaigns including but not limited to promotions, contests and creative platforms.
Fun Fact: Fuzzy peaches are my favourite candy!

Role: I maintain the SSA's website, ensuring content is accurate in both official languages.
